A 100-year history
From the passion and tenacity of Umberto Sacco, his son Mario and Vittorio Sacco, Moderne Semolerie Italiane was born in 1967 in Foggia, in the heart of the granary of Italy. In this unique land that has always been dedicated to the production of durum wheat, the tradition, experience, professionalism and innovation that Moderne Semolerie Itali ane transfers to its customers every day were born. The passion for this unique craft would later be passed on from Mario to his three children, Umberto, Pio and Patrizia.

Today in the Foggia headquarters, the facility is divided internally into two areas: one intended for the storage of the raw material and the stages of cleaning and wetting it, freeing the wheat from foreign substances and impurities; the other is dedicated to the milling of durum wheat to make semolina, the characteristics of which vary according to the different needs of pasta-making customers.
